Default What is your opinion about this?

I've noticed here in our area mostly the wife is the bread winner while the husband is the "housewife".

And you know what, this is not the usual thing here, i don't have any idea in other places but somehow I know in some countries, this is not really a big issue.

But I just want to here from you your opinion about this, what message do you think this scenario wants to say or what it indicates to us?

I think that's totally fine. I personally would like a guy to take care of me, but hey, if a woman wants to, more power to her. I don't see anything wrong with it at all..

It's a personal decision between the husband and wife. If they are fine
with the arrangement it is perfectly OK.

I agree with the posters above, if the family is fine with such an arrangement, I don't see anything wrong with it. If the woman wants to work and has a well-paying job, and the husband is good at taking care of house & kids, why not let him do that.

Yeah my friend is like that he's the househusband and the wife is working they have 3 kids lol. I don't mind having a househusband as long as he's not going to be a headache to me.

I would love for my husband to be the house husband, just to give him a taste of how difficult it can be.

I suppose it is down to finances. If the wife earns more then it would make sense for her to be the one to go out to work.

I mean, other people may give you s*** about it, but it's up to you and your partner. Honestly, whatever makes you happy is all that matters.

It's nice that some men would want to be house husband. They are the ones taking care of the wife and children. For me it's totally fine, as long as the couple share the work together. The woman do work in the office while the man do the work at home.

This situation would SO not work for me, but if it works for others then go for it. I don't see anything innately wrong with it, it's just not the kind of life I want. I do have higher earning potential than my husband but he's still the breadwinner and I'm at home. I actually really enjoy being a housewife, and he likes to work.
