Hi all, im soo peeved, came back from a father daughter bonding to recieve a phone bill with a total of €156 for mobile calls, i know who they are to and there definatly aint nothing fishy going on. The thing is i'm the only one earning and have asked him time and time again to use mobile to mobile as its cheaper but he just doesnt listen and when I mention it to him he's says ah we'll handle it! I feel like pulling my hair out! Are all men the same???

| That's not right. No, not all men are like that. Towards the end of my last relationship, my bf was the one making the money, because I had to quit my job due to my anxiety. Even though I was the one making sure the bills were paid, he was the one making the money. It really depends on the guy, but in my experience in the past, guys need some help to remember to get the bills paid.. even if they do have the money.

Not all guys are like this, but it does happen that if they think something is not important, they'll ignore your requests to change it. If you are the one earning, your wishes should be considered. If they are not, measures should be taken. I'd go so far as disconnecting the phone.

Hi Farce, Its my husband, god love him I just dont think he thinks at times. Think Im going to have to put a stop on the calls going out to mobiles from the landline. I know not all men are like that and he's very caring in many other ways, its just the pressure the same old bills and him just not thinking. |

Lolz. My hubz doesn't even make calls to his pals like that. He even ignores his mobile phone sometimes. I think only some boys are fond of calling but mostly not except for business purposes.

I think most people would say that it's women who run up the phone bill. Saving money is a must, and I think it's appropriate to do something drastic like get a prepaid phone. This way, you can't get a large bill. He'll even be more cautious about how much talking he's doing.

No, they are not. My husband is very conscientious when it comes to spending and he doesn't even use his cell phone during the day unless he knows he has enough minutes remaining or it's a mobile to mobile call. I think you should teach him a lesson and suspend his line for a while or he can always get a job to pay half of the bills as well.

My thoughts exactly. That's why it's a very shocking experience to know a guy who can spend a lot of this. Boys don't like to talk so much don't they.

Well, if it's the wife who runs up the phone bill and refuses to listen to the husband (who is paying it), he would be justified to take certain measures. It should be no different if the husband is the one lacking responsibility.
