I have noticed that my partner likes compliments. He likes being called handsome LOL. It's like this affects our relationship. He feels good to himself everytime I compliment him, and he's gone a lot sweeter! Sometimes I laugh (when he's not around) because I tell him compliments although I didn't mean them LOL. It's funny to see him react on that. Hahah. |

| I used to say things to my ex that I didn't mean in hope of making the relationships better. Luckily, with my current bf, I really do mean them. I've never loved someone so much

Compliments can be positive reinforcement and boost our self-confidence. Though it is important to remember that we mean what we say; otherwise, it can be damaging to other person in some cases and put a strain on our relationship as well.

Yes, compliments are not just a "women thing," guys like them as well! I will even say that they need them, especially when the compliment is about something they have done or achieved. It is important for a man to see that his efforts are noticed and appreciated.

| I really think women forget that men want to hear nice things too. They also need to be reminded that you love them and that you still find them attractive
