The relaxation & exercise components of yoga have a crucial role to play in the treatment & prevention of high B.P. (hypertension). A combination of biofeedback & yogic breathing & relaxation techniques has been found to lower blood pressure & reduce the need for high B.P. meditation in people suffering from it. |

Great info, thanks. Relaxation techniques are proven to be really effective to drastically reduce the blood pressure (during the relaxation) and heartbeat rate. But what is biofeedback and how is it applied in yoga?

So can yoga help promote circulation of blood in the body? How exactly is this achieved other than through breathing techniques? Does stretching have this great of an effect on people?

| It's hard to believe but it's true that Yoga makes such an influence on the human body. But it should contain the mental component. Without this component you will not achieve the expected results.

The art of yoga is helpful not only for the body but also for the mind. Yoga aims to heal both externally as well as internally and ensures proper functioning of the entire body.
