Default More Benefitial to Women?

Yoga seems to be gaining more popularity lots of people in the United States. I've seen more women than men practice Yoga. Why is that? Can Yoga do more for women than men?

I think that you are absolutely right that yoga is much more popular among the women than among the men. I think it comes from the differences in the psychics of the men and the women. I think that the women are much more patient than the men.

You make a good point wolschulze, I think women are more into it because they have more patience. Men would probably go for something more muscle building, and a way to show of their strength. Women like yoga because it helps them relax. I've personally never tried yoga

You might have noticed more women but that doesn't necessarily mean that there are more women than men practicing Yoga. Besides, it is beneficial for all and not meant for one specific gender.

When I lived in England I went to Yoga classes and the majority of the people there were actually men. The instructor was also a man, and if you watch the fitness channels on television there are a lot of men doing the lessons too.

I think yoga is seen to be more feminine though.

I think it is because women care about their body, appearance and health more than men do. A woman tend to be hard to herself while a man is just the opposite, too loose to himself.

You're right, yoga doesn't just have benefits for a single gender; it benefits anyone who practices it. Maybe most men feel like they don't need to get into shape.
