Default Chicken cordon blue

I'm going to try to make this tonight. I tried it about 3 months ago and it was a FLOP. I pulled a recipe off the internet... This recipe you actually grill the chicken instead of baking it.

Anyone make this? It's one of my favorite dishes-- I just need to know how to make it.

Wish me luck!

Hey Kris--how did your chicken cordon bleu come out last night on the grill? Was it easier than cooking it in the oven?

I would love the recipe for it if it truly was easy. I love cordon bleu--it's just a pain to make sometimes.

Can't wait to read how it came out.

Sweet... it was marvelous! Nice and gooey from the cheese. If I could change one thing the next time it will be to add more ham. I ripped the pieced of ham in half and then rolled the chicken. I would add the whole piece next time.

You cut each chicken breast in half to thin them out. Then we pounded each piece. You then put 1 piece of Swiss Cheese and a piece of ham in the middle and roll the chicken up. We used toothpicks to secure the roll. Toss them on your grill. Be sure to flip them over often and let them cook. About half way through grilling- you brush on honey mustard dressing (not mustard but salad dressing). Then when they are done- serve with honey mustard dressing.

They were so good-

This sounds like an excellent grilling recipe! We have grilled chicken breasts with some seasonings, and they turn out very good just by themselves, but ham and cheese rolled inside would add so much to the taste. I would love to try this!

We eat a lot of chicken on the grill, this is certainly different. A great taste. I love the honey dijon (I bought this instead of honey mustard) dressing. It's wonderful.

We ate the last 3 pieces last night for leftovers. It was great warmed up too. Just tossed it back on the grill on low.

I must try this one of this days. I live alone and I think I will try a small batch of this, something I could pop in the microwave when I feel too lazy to cook. Thanks for sharing!

I'm not sure how good it would be if you made it and froze it for future meals. I think the cheese would get hard and crusty and the chicken dry when you reheated it in the microwave.

We have made it 2 more times since my 1st post and it's been delicious!
