Default Need to lose 15kg in a month

Im on a mission as usual for me, but this time im very determined and I need to lose 15kg in a month with a change to my diet and exercise.

I'm going to be making exercise an everyday part of my life regime and have started already with doing a lot of walking, cycling and going on a cross trainer, so Ive got the energy I require and can make this stable in my life now.
I have also been on a detox and have had all my toxins and rubbish gone out of my body. Ive lost around 8 kg so far in 20 days, and have got my metabolism and body going so can go for anything. And the best thing is this time I have seen results in me losing weight and I am pleased.

So guys I need your support in order for me to accomplish this mission of mine and get me to be slim again.

First of all I salute you for being so motivated in this stuff. You need that motivation to reach your goal so go for it. Good luck and if things went well let us know.

That's great achievement. Only the one who really determined can reach what you reach now. Go on. Just make sure that you feel comportable with your program so you can practice that on a long term basis to gain (and stay at) your desired weight.

Default Brava!

I commend you. What I also found is variety. I would get bored with the same exercise or when i would get injured and couldn't do the same. So have some back up exercise routines you can do when your unable to do your regular.

this is great news, and i am glad that you're taking a step towards a healthier lifestyle. do not rush things though, it is better to lose weight slowly and steadily rather than lose it all in one go and then end up gaining it all again. just make sure you are still getting enough nutrition and eat healthy foods. keep it up!

Wow! That was great! I envy your enthusiasm and dedication. Can you be more specific on your detox diet? I'm also trying to lose some weight but unfortunately I cannot follow through.

Keep up the good work!

Is that really healthy for a person to loose that much weight in such a short period of time? Weight loss should occur gradually. If it happens too fast, it can become very easy to regain all the weight and more.

It is wonderful that you took action. I'm also working very hard on loosing. I lost about 12kg already and need to loose 10 more. The winter hit me badly and I picked up 5 again otherwise it would have only been 5 to go. I'm just concerned with 15kg a month. It's a lot.
I agree with Glory11, as long as you feel comfortable and not loosing out on nutrition.

I don't know, it works different for everyone but I found a treat every once in a while, gives me more willpower to continue. I still lost weight even with a cheat, as long as you don't overdo it.

Good luck and stay positive. You are not alone in your quest. We should support each other.

Congrats on your motivation. That's what it takes is motivation to keep things going. When you feel like your motivation starts to fade. Just remember how good you feel now, and maybe that will push you through. Good luck!

It's good that you are greatly motivate. I congratulate you. However, I think that amount of weight is just too much. It's unhealthy to lose that much weight in a short span of time.

Congratulations on your decision and motivation to do it. However, 15 kg - I believe that is about 30 lbs? It is a little too much to lose in a month and may not be very good on your health. I believe it is better to lose the weight slowly as you are insured not to gain it back by adopting a healthier lifestyle.

Good for you for setting such an awesome goal! I think you can do it. The only thing that worries me is, what if you get close to it and then you're just short? I don't want you to look at yourself as a failure. Maybe you should say.. I'm going to TRY to lose this in a month... just so you don't feel too pressured.

I think that's the trouble with people making New Years' resolutions.. they set themselves up for failure. Not trying to say that's what you're gunna do.. just looking out for ya

I think you can do it. Best of luck to you!!!!!

I think this is awesome... but be careful with setting time limits on weight loss.. it has to be safe for you!
REmember that with losing weight and increasing your workout you will need to eat more.... six small meals a day will keep your metabolism going... and you will need 8 to 10 glasses of water a day.
Also... cardio alone will not do it... you need weight training as well... and make sure you stretch at the end of every work out... other wise your muscles will be sore and eventually bulk up.
Good luck... you can do it!!

Congratulations on your success! You are doing something very good for your health. I would join the others though who have cautioned against setting such a strict time limit: 15 kg in one month is A LOT. Unless you have a lot of weight to lose, it is hard, and not always healthy. Gradual weight loss is preferable.

I agree with Lissy... take it slow.. its a whole lifestyle change and commitment... gradual is so much better for you in the long run.

There are various ways through which you can reduce weight like exercising, cycling, jogging, walking etc. Apart from this you can try the method of yoga as it is very beneficial. But if you want to achieve a target then in that case you should take professional assistance. There is a popular method of detoxification that is used in health centers like Fresh Start, Ocean resort and spooke and it will definitely help you out in achieving your objective successfully
Best of luck

Reducing your meals or the portion of your meals is a good way to start off. Plus exersice is really important. But don’t’ forget that drinking lots of water is a very important and can help you loose weight as well. It fills you up and is very good for your skin and organs. Plus if you drink a lot of water you detoxify your body naturally. Another good advice would be to supplement one of your meals with soup, as it also is a great diet to detox ( http://www.dietingdelilah.com/diet-soups/ ) and plus it has the same effect as just plain water but you feel like you ate something.
