There are certain blind rules that people follow to lose weight not knowing that they are just myths and waist of time and energy. Dieting, believe it or not does not help in losing weight on the contrary you starve more and then land up eating all the more. Plus it shows quickly on your under you eyes and bad health. The "health foods" available in the market are actually junk foods that make you put on more weight. Unless and until you take help of a trained professional the Ab exercises like crunches and sit-ups are not effective at all. The cardio exercise becomes boring soon and is not the best way to lose body fat. The fat burning machines and pills that we see on TV are expensive and not effective at all. To go the natural way is the best way to loose those extra kilos. Ab belts and ab-crunchers and other such machines are a complete waste of your time and money. To get the perfect body you need to follow real workouts and real nutrition strategies.

I have to agree with you. I have been fooled a few times. The word diet drives me up the walls. I'm just using the basic point system from Weight Watchers that I did years ago. I eat whatever I want but in small portions. I eat a lot of salad and veggies and if I feel like a sweet, I eat a small one. I'm loosing steadily. For exercise I use the kids' Wii Fit.

I think that people are so desperate to lose weight that they will do anything, including taking diet pills, going to extremes with their diet, and buying the newest piece of exercise equipment. I don't think that's even necessary. All it takes is a little exercise and a little water.

If you find something that works you should stick to it. As long as you burn calories one way or the other, it is fine. Diet is a lifestyle. The moment you return to your bad habits you will just gain weight again. I also found that if you hate your exercise time you won't stick with it. No expensive equipment is necessary. Walking, dancing, running (if you like it) and swimming are excellent forms of exercise.

Yeah I think it's true cleo. To some people dieting or any other methods of workout does slim them up. They won't stick to it if they don't see any progress on what they're doing.
