1. Carry a bottle of water always to gulp it whenever you crave badly for food 2. Fill yourself with low calorie homemade drink like a yoghurt based fruit smoothie. Being low in calorie and full of air and water it fills your stomach. 3. To dampen your appetites have a big bowl of vegetable soup before meals 4. Eat slowly and chew food properly. Chew it almost 25 times until it becomes liquid in the mouth. It will allow you enjoy your food and enable stomach signal brain well in time 5. Use small zip bags of snacks to ensure you eat right in right portions to keep your stomach full. 6. Never skip meals as it would make you eat more as your body demands more and you tend to overeat. |

Once again, great tips! And best of all, they really do work - I have adopted these habits while I was doing the Weight Watchers program a few years back and thankfully they stayed with me. Even though I don't count the points anymore, these simple steps still keep me in great shape today |

Somehow I don't think that just drinking water would curb my cravings for certain foods. Does that really work? I'm willing to try, but I am doubtful.

| Well, drinking water doesn't always curb the cravings for me. But I try to focus on something else when I really want to eat something even after drinking a whole bottle of water. Worst case scenario, I go for a bunch of grapes or carrots, knowing that they won't make me gain any weight but still compensate for a sugar rush or a hunger pang.

Thank you for that very informative post, sharan. I always have a bottle of water in my bag any where I go. Do you think drinking too much of water would also help you to have a slim figure? I'm a little confuse with this because some would say it will make your stomach bigger. How true is this, guys? |
