Default Why has it stopped ?

I am following a diet religiously and was doing really well and the weight was coming off as planned and I was so happy but for the past 5 days nothing has happened, it's stuck, not a budge out of it. I find I am eating less and exercising more in the last 7-10 days so surely the lbs should be still coming off, can anyone shed any light as to why this has happened ?

It is possible that your body weight has reached a plateau and might stay that way for a little while. It has happened to me while I was doing Weight Watchers but it was only temporary. Don't get discouraged and keep up with what you have been doing. Especially the exercise part. I don't know for how long you've been following this routine but it can also be that your body is turning the fat into muscle tissue because of the exercises. That sometimes causes even a slight weight gain because muscle weighs more than fat.
Anytime you are following a weight loss program, it is always best to measure your waist, thighs, etc. instead of weighing yourself - this gives you a better idea as to how you lose. Scales are tricky because we women retain more water at times and that can be construed as weight gain when it really isn't.

I hope this helps

Thanks good idea, I never thought about the fat turning to muscle, I am doing lots of exercise and I have been eating the planned foods for the past 5 months and doing really well, still no budge, I'm trying to not to get discouraged, but I feel like reaching for the bar of chocolate.

I know what you mean - but if I learned one thing from watching my weight, it is that you don't need to completely stop eating what you enjoy. Do have a small piece of chocolate once in a while. You deserve the reward for taking care of yourself and doing what is good for your health, don't you? I never stopped eating chocolate, as it is my favorite thing in the world. I buy a bar and have a small square every other day. They also have the low calorie chocolates as well. You really deserve it, go ahead and indulge! Cheers!

sometimes that does happen where you weight will just stick to one point, unfortunately i don't know why this may have happened. But i would just suggest that continue with your exercise and diet and next time you jump on the scales you will see a difference.
