I run 5 days a week 10 miles each day. I've also started to add a hour of weights after my runs and sometimes a cardio kickboxing DVD. I wanted to try and do this for 6 or 7 days a week but when I try I get burnt out. Is 5 days a week enough of should I do 6? thanks!

Running 10 miles a day for five days realy spoils your health because blood circulation will be very high and it may break.ther are certain cases in which good tennis players have lose their lifes in heart failure fo want of continous blood circulation.consult your family doctor and continue you athelectics.

You need to be careful not to overdo it, and that's something you can only assess for yourself. Get a heart rate monitor, or at least keep tabs of your pulse. If you are working too hard and not getting enough time to rest all you will achieve is to exhaust yourself. I did this because I thought that if running 3 km was good then running 4 was better, and I got nowhere! I started watching my pulse and dropped my speed right down, and I found I was doing far better than I was before.

Typically exercising 3 - 4 times a week is recommended. If you're comitted to exercising more frequently, why not try one of your three activities each day? That might help you prevent burn out.
