Default The using the cold water

What is your opinion as to the using the cold water to the purpose of the weight loss? The mechanism of the influence of the cold water to our body is very simple. Your body needs the extra calories for the heating after the contact with the cold water and it leads to the weight loss. I think that the using of the cold water may be the essential addition to the program of the weight loss.

That's really interesting. I never thought of that. Do you have a link to a site with more info? I wonder if it works.. that seems so strange. Hmm..

I think cold water is not good in losing weight. A study was conducted before that drinking cold water after meal is not advisable especially if you eat oily foods. Because cold water tends to harden the oil in the linings of our intestines and it blocks the vitamins and minerals be absorb by our body. It is advisable to drink hot tea/coffee or lukewarm water after each meal.

I am sorry and I think that this is my mistake that I have not clarified the question with the using of the cold water for the weight loss in my post. I did not propose to consume the cold water after or before the meal. I am proposing to use the cold water as the hydrotherapeutic procedure.

For hydrotherapy, yes cold water is advised. Our body needs water to rehydrate and to energize us.

I think water is important to flush out all the toxins in our body. It also gives you a sense of fullness thereby cutting down your food intake. But using cold water? IS there already a study about this one?

Water is important for our body mechanism to remove toxins & maintaining healthy body metabolism. But i never heard about cold water for weight loss. Although a glass of warm water can ensure proper bowel movements!

Sounds like yes, it does burn calories, but not a lot. You burn calories apparently because your body needs to heat up the water. (Or else your urine would be ice cold, just like the water you drank)

This applies to any cold beverage

I personally think every little thing you do counts, so if you're already exercising, and eating better. Why not drink cold beverages to try to burn some more? Can't hurt (Stick with low calorie cold beverages or you're defeating the whole purpose )

I think even without studies or telling us that cold water is better, people will still prefer cold water over warm after extensive exercise! ha!ha!
