Usually during the holidays we tend to gain at least 5 pounds. I think that 7 pounds is the norm. I am going to really focus this year and try to loose during the holidays. Does anyone have some great suggestions for holiday foods that are still great tasting, but not high in calories?

I honestly don't know any low calorie holiday dishes... It is a rather difficult task to lose weight when everyone seems to indulge into eating some yummy stuff. I would probably focus on salads if I wanted to do that.

Speaking of which I can't help eating my MIL's baked mac as it is sooo delicious. She always make some of it during Christmas and sometimes new year's eve too (my request) lolz. But after the night when I still see plenty of food in the fridge I kinda lose my appetite sometimes.

I guess most of us kind of "let it go" during a holiday season, especially when it comes to Thanksgiving and Christmas, we indulge in all those yummy homemade foods, and then try to take care of it later by dieting, LOL. |

Holidays coming up, that means we need to get hold of ourselves and eat in moderation.

I think the only thing you can do is pay special attention to portion sizes. There are very few healthy options when it comes to hoilday food. Just don't over indulge.
