Default Fear and weight Loss

I do not diet. But I am thinking I might have to do a detox program. Ruby from the show called "Ruby" was talking how she had to be trained to like food that was good for her. She went cold turkey on all her junk food and ate nothing but good stuff and now she really likes it.I just don't live a very healthy life at all right now. I get no sleep, eat too much or don't eat at all(so on and so on). I don't know what I am going to do. I am just tired of being 225 but thankful it isn't going higher.I don't even know what goal weight I should go for anymore. I want the prefect body but I know I will never get that far. I would not want to go that far . I have this fear that I will always have to think about how much I weigh and what size I am. What are somethings you are afraid of and what are you doing to face then?

Well, I was chubby when I was younger and I never got over it until today. I weight 135 lbs now but I always have this thought of getting bigger again, unless I am really careful about what I eat. One thing that I don't do is to deprive myself though. I eat everything but in very small quantities. I always watch for signs of weight gain with my clothing. Scales can be deceiving; thus, I always make sure my clothes fit properly and I never eat when I feel emotional. That's the worst thing you can do as you never watch what you're ingesting while your head is elsewhere. My biggest fear is to have flabby skin so I am exercising almost every day to avoid that, too.

I think that many woman have the fear that they won't ever be the size they want. And once we do loose weight, we aren't satisfied with our bodies anyways...we want to loose more.

I think it would be harder to quit eating my favorite snacks cold turkey. I would probably end up eating more junk this way.

You should start by going to a weight watchers meeting. They teach you about healthy choices and exercise. This is the way you will start to loose healthy.

Default Skin

I Have the same fear about hanging skin because I have so many sketch marks. My mother in law told me that skin can "snap back" ( with working out, coco butter, and time) I also saw some thing in Avon for skin around the thigh, tummy and so on. For now I just need to find something to help get me healthy. I signed up for Sparks People and it is helping me be realistic in my goals.

I also feel that I have excess pounds on me, sometimes I would wish I can get it out. But I don't exercise much, and I don't have a diet plan. I just try to eat a little on every meal I take. I try not to skip meals for it will just make me hungrier like what I felt last week when I skipped breakfast daily.

I know how hard it can be trying to loose weight. But it does also sound like a lot of your problems also lie in your fear of failing.

What you have to do is be realistic and accept yourself for what you are. Start off slowly and make little changes to your diet and focus on all of your little success to make yourself feel as though you are achieving something wonderful.

I think you are looking at trying to adopt a lifestyle change, rahter than a quick fix diet plan. Don't deprive yourself of your favorite foods either, this will only give you cravings.

Good luck!

Are you determined to lose some pounds? I guess that is the most important question that you should ask for yourself. It would be hard in the beginning but eventually you would cope up with what you are doing. Do not deprive yourself from eating. You could eat but with moderation. Remember that discipline is the key to weight loss.

I don't diet, either, because a diet really implies something that is temporary and a quick fix to a problem that's really long-term. I just decided to change what I was eating, and I was able to lose weight. Of course, I had to exercise, too. Losing weight is much more difficult than gaining it, but it's so much easier when you make an effort.
