I think I've got the 'marriage bug' or whatever you want to call it. Lately, I've been to a few weddings and it just makes me so emotional. I've only been with my current boyfriend since September of 2008, and then we moved in together in January of this year. (Fast paced, I know. I was always the person who criticized others when they did exactly what I'm doing now. I can't really explain how this guy makes me feel, but it's just perfect without being 'too good to be true')

I never thought I'd EVER feel this way because I've always said that I never want to get married or have kids, but going to the weddings has been making me really emotional and just curious, I guess.

Is this something that normally happens when you see others who are getting married or having kids? I'm just curious if maybe I should ignore these feelings for now and see how I feel a year or two from now?

I just can't believe I'm saying this right now! Never thought I'd love someone this much and really see myself spending the rest of my life with them!

And to think: someone I used to work with was the one who told me she thought we would be really good together, so I gave it a try. I could cry right now! I'm just so insanely happy with this guy!

Well abeja it happens. Sometimes you say such things like you dont want to get married and have kids, but when you see others in that position, you think I want that to happen to me too. Sometimes we don't want to do something or feel something unless we see it or feel it ourselves, so its completely nature how you feel, and you should not ignore it.

I was like that and thought I don't want to get married, but my views changed when I saw all my friends get married and have kids, I thought why not me. Being from an India family, my parents have the job of looking for a guy for me, obviously I will get to know the guy before i marry him, but yes I think marriage is something like a bug, and when you see others getting it you want to get it too!
