Default Planning

We are in the process of planning a wedding. My son and his girlfriend are getting married in July so it doesn't give us much time.

They are very uninterested in the planning process. They both say they will be happy with whatever, so now it is up to us to figure this out!

Any advice on what we might forget?

I don't understand, how can they possible say they will be happy with 'whatever'. It sounds like they need there heads banging together (no offense).

I suppose the main things are:

Booking the place for the ceremony and after party.
Flowers
Catering and entertainment
Guests and Invitations
Wedding car for the bride and groom
The bride dress, hair and make up. The grooms suit, as well as the bridesmaids and best man.
Don't forget gifts for the bridesmaids.
The cake.

Wow, I don't envy your task, I am sure we will be able to add more things to this list.

Aside from the list given by bubble. The following are very important:

1. Don't forget to secure a marriage license. Know if seminars are needed to be attended.
2. And of course the wedding rings. I suppose the couple would want to choose them by themselves.
3. Photo and video coverage - to have a remembrance of their special day.

I don't understand why the two lovebirds doesn't want to take part in the planning process of their wedding. It is their wedding after all.

It is a great task and needs a lot of detailing. I planned and prepared for my own wedding 3 years ago because my groom is mostly out of town. I may say that to come up with a hassle proof wedding needs proper planning and preparation.

What have you prepared so far? We are willing to be of help.

Don't forget to get little corsages for loved ones close to the bride and groom. Also you might want to check to make sure they aren't allergic to flowers.

It will be hard to plan it for them without their ideas or thoughts. So many people like and want different things. I'd have to get them to write down a few ideas to get you started. I hope they are paying you for organising their big special day.
