In India there a tradition of arranging marriage ceremonies in open places but this can be a problem at times of rain or other climatic changes. so it is always necessary that an alternate temporary arrangement should be ready in such contingencies. Have any one of you have ever faced such a difficulty????

Well in England Asian weddings normally take place in doors in halls, so there's no such problem there regarding weather.

Currently staying in India I can see that its a big trend to have open places as well as halls for weddings, and food arrangement is generally outdoors too, but I have not seen such a situation where the arrangements have gone wrong.

My wedding took place in a banquet hall and therefore everything was arranged inside. But I think in India because there is a season of rain (monsoon), it only every rains then, and you wont hardly find that anyone gets married during that time anyway! Weddings are generally during a time when there is going to be no rain, and you wont hardly see rain in off season (from Sep-May).

Fo a wedding place, there is no other more romantic venue than a garden, aint? It just has to be at a time of year when summer is at its full and downpours are very unlikely. During summer, when flowers and leaves are in bloom, a little arrangement to landscape the place would only be needed to create that perfect lovely atmosphere.
