I met my fiancee online, and its worked out great. Anyone else met their spouse/signficant other this way?

I have and I am really happy about it as well. I have known a few people with horror storied about online dates but mine turned out to be the best relationship one could ever ask for

I love how you can look through all the profiles to find someone who shares your interests and dreams. It's pretty near if you ask me. Much better than meeting someone in a bar.

I haven't but I know a few people that have. I met my bf previously, but we really got to know each other a lot more through the internet and texting. We used to sit on yahoo for hours! It's nice, cuz you don't use up your cellphone minutes. I would literally fall asleep at night with the laptop next to me.. it was very comforting

I have to admit that it is a little tempting to want to look for someone online, but I don't think I'll do it. Once in a relationship, I do think that I would prefer IM and email over talking on the telephone.
