Default SNL vs MadTV

I grew up watching Saturday Night Live, but started to get a little bored with it a while back. I had always known about MadTV, but never watched it that much. I'm finding that it's a lot funnier than SNL! I really like Ms. Swan and Stewart.

The only thing that really makes SNL stand out at all to me is when Justin Timberlake is a guest/host. He has some of the funniest sketches I've ever seen. I watch them on YouTube quit a bit. I really like PlasticVille, the song "Mother Lover" and "Junk In A Box" haha! He's so crazy! (There's more, but I can't mention em here)

I grew up watching MadTV; my brother and I had to sneak and watch the show behind my mom and dad's back. MadTV didn't have a tradition as long as SNL has, so I think it caters to more of a young audience. SNL reminds me more of old people. My friend told me to watch the show, but I stopped watching once Jimmy Fallon left the show.

You're right, SNL is for a much older crowd. So many of the jokes, I just don't get lol.

I miss Jimmy Fallon too! Also: Will Ferrel, Cheri Oteri, Molly Shannon, Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, etc.

I have watched both shows for as long as I can remember and I really can't choose between the two. They both have a very unique style of comedy and when it comes to these shows, I kinda feel like comparing apples to oranges. I love both!

I'm glad that both exist. They have both produced a lot of funny people who have gone on to have great careers. I still miss MadTV even if its final season wasn't as good as it could have been.
