Wow, the last few years have sure seen an explosion of reality TV shows. Did you ever expect to see hundreds of programs from dating to weight loss, or cooking to home repair and every other sort of seemingly mundane activity suddenly thrust into the spot light. Strangely enough, some of this everyday activity is remarkably fascinating when shown live in the correct context. Do you feel there is too much reality shows on TV today? ![]() ![]() |

Honestly, no I love it. I don't watch it all but I watch a lot of reality TV. I'm a fan of Big Brother, Survivor, Biggest Loser, Amazing Race, Hells Kitchen and Dancing with the Stars. I also love that new one about the neighborhood. If it wasn't for sports and reality TV there would not be much on. |

I think there are just way too many reality shows. Some of them are okay but the majority is just ridiculous. The one that gets to me the most is ''More To Love'' - I can't believe they can make such a show and actually find an audience for it...

| I was actually wondering this the other day.. when did this whole reality tv thing started. Does anyone know the show that started it all?? I really like Real World on MTV. My fav season was San Diego I think. There was a girl named Frankie who had some kind of disease. Sad thing is, I found out she passed away ![]() ![]() |

I think reality TV shows are fun to watch. Although there are some shows that are ridiculous...I hate reality dating shows like The Bachelor etc. I'd rather watch American Idol, Survivor and Amazing Race.

I think that we all know that the editing is what makes reality tv so interesting to us. I love to watch the reality shows. I watch Big Brother, Survivor, The Biggest Looser, American Idol, There Goes the Neighborhood, and The Amazing Race. At least when you are watching Reality tv, you know it isn't a rerun. |

I don't mind watching reality shows if it's an original idea. Regular people get a chance to be on TV and win money, so I think that's a good thing. What's most interesting isn't the mundane activity that they're doing, in my opinion, it's the drama and friction that develop between the characters on the show. I like watching America's Next Top Model. That's probably the only reality show that I consistently watch every season. I do like to watch the American Idol tryouts so I can laugh at the people who can't sing.
