Sex and the City was a long running American cable television series.
The show was set in New York City and focused on four women out of whom three are in their mid-thirties and one in her forties. The show was a quirky drama/comedy with a set of multiple continuing story lines. It also tackled a lot of socially relevant issues like the various sexually transmitted diseases, the importance of safe sex, having multiple partners and promiscuity.

The show also examined the lives of a big-city professional woman in the last part of the decade of the 1990s and how the change in her roles and expectations for women affected by the characters.

Sex and City was primarily filmed at the Silver cup Studios is New York City. The studio is located in and around Manhattan. Since the time it has ended, the show has been aired on various networks in syndication like, the TBS, WGN, and a lot of other local stations. However, basic cable outlets started to edit out certain explicit show contents that were broadcasted in the original version.

It was so popular that a feature film based on the show was released in 2008. The film was also named Sex and the City and it was written produced and directed by Michael Patrick King. The film was originally slated for production when the original run of the series ended in the year, 2004, but at that time the movie deal fell through at that time. At that time there were many press reports that stated that there was a personal dispute between Sarah Jessica Parker and Kim. Another problem that was cited was Kim Cattrall’s refusal to sign a contract for the film at a pay scale which was much less than Parker's.

Me and my friends are absolutely obsessed with this show. Even the movie was really good and a part 2 of the movie is coming out to.. Cant wait.

I love Sex and The City. I watched every episode and still watch the reruns.

When the movie came out, I was right there to see it~ after going out for Cosmos with the girls made it a complete night.

I so love Sex and the City. Even if it's being aired at 2am I patiently waited for it every single day. It's like the last show I should watch before sleeping. The story is great.

Love love love this!! Can't wait for the second movie!! I can watch all the seasons over and over again!

Sadly, I didn't know about this show until it was no longer running, but I love every single episode that I've seen. I still wanna see the movie.. was it any good? What would you rate it 1-10?
