This might be a little specific to the United States, but if any other countries have anything like this, I'd love to hear about it. My better half () and I have gotten into spending weekends at Renaissance Festivals. There's a handful near us, but we're looking into which ones are worth a longer trip, what's unique about them, what not to miss and which ones to skip. Right now we're keeping to the northeast, but we've heard that Michigan and Texas have amazing festivals... can anyone chime in?

I went to one in Texas when on holiday, and it would a huge festival! I didnt stay for long, but from another group of friends which I met there, they said that it was an amazing day they spent at the festival!
