Has anyone gone to Dubai? I heard this is one of the richest country in the word. Is it true that this is one of the safest place as well? I would like to hear information from you guys.

I'm actually working in Dubai for around 3 years now, and it really is safe but maybe not the safest. As normal community there are crimes and vehicular accidents here and there but on the acceptable level I guess.

But I admit that Dubai is the most progressive city probably in the world with all the construction like the tallest building - Burj Dubai, largest mall - Dubai Mall and the only 7 Star hotel - Burj Al Arab. There are alot more tourist destinations than you can handle.

My 12 year old son and I watched a special on TV recently that featured Dubai as a travel destination. Wow!! He is determined to go there now

I have to admit, it does look fantastic, although a little overwhelming. There were indoor ski areas, themeparks, high end shopping malls, etc. It looks like alot of fun, but quite a flight from my house!

Yes, Dubai seems to be the most in everything, and the cost of housing is also one of the highest. I don't wonder why, with those palaces!

How is the job market in Dubai? Are wages in line with the cost of living? It sounds like a nice place to live.
