Default Age 4--stage or behavioral

Oh my gosh. My 4 year old has really been trying my patience lately. I swear it has been in the last few months. He has become so argumentative. I don't care how many times I tell him no, he has reasons why the answer shouldn't be no. He has also thinks it's okay to tattle on everybody. I don't care if it's a child he has just met on the street--he will tattle on them.

He is my last child and yes, he probably does get more chances than my other 2 children had, but he is not spoiled rotten. I try to teach them right from wrong.

Do you know any other 4 year old that is going through a difficult time? I thought it was terrible 2's not 4's. Please tell me this is just a stage he is going through and not a behavioral issue that I will be dealing with.

Sounds like a phase, I remember when my son was 4 I use to think I had a teenager in the house with the amount of back chat he gave me and the attitude, can't remember exactly how long it lasted but I do remember it well. I think they have a phase every year

It's really hard to deal with a 4 year old child. Before, my youngest was really annoying and the worst thing is that, he loves throwing things all over the place. I thought he'd be a pain in the head when he grew up but he did not so, I think this situation is normal. My youngest is 8 years old now but I don't have behavioral problem with him. Just guide your child and eventually he'd learn right from wrong, right?

Sounds like a typical 4 yr old to me. I watch 4 yr olds and the tattle all of the time! And it is about anything they can think of. They are becoming more and more independent and want to show that.
