Does anyone else get tired of hearing WHY? all day long? I run a daycare and all day long the question is why? I will say, Please don't hang on the gate ~ WHY? Be careful with the baby ~ Why? It goes on and on. The worst part is I answer the WHY and they respond with WHY? I don't remember my kids going threw so much of a Why phase...I am going crazy!! |

I can very well understand and relate to that antkmom! I dont run a daycare center but I have toddlers of my own. Im just glad I only have two but the measure of how many whys and whats I would encounter in a day is almost the same as running a daycare center! The worst part is when you yourself wouldnt know how to answer any more whys or whats or what ifs and you just have to because they ought to know and understand! |

I agree that it is very nerve wrecking to hear that question all day. I remember it even when I was younger, from my younger siblings.

Oh yes such a common thing, the why question. I think to myself whats the point of asking that, then on the other hand I think because my daughter wants to know, so i do try to answer her questions to why. She doesn't ask why after I have answered her question........yet!!! |

I personally love it when my kids ask "why?". They are interested in knowing the reasons for everything and I think it is adorable. When they start doing that, we make a great game out of it. For every "why" question that I answer to, I ask them a different question in return that they will have to answer. This way, they don't come back with another why to the first one that I answered. Not to mention we get a lot of fun out of whole interaction |

Oh my kids do, I hate it, my eldest is forever saying Why, How come, and But... sometimes I feel like screaming I guess it just phases that they are going through.

I would rather have them drive me nuts with the same questions than having to see them totally oblivious to everything like some kids are. Curiosity opens up their minds, their imagination and in turn their creativity. Even the simple ''why'' questions they ask to taunt us can still teach them so much in so little time, plus they get our attention which the greatest reward for them |

They are definitely learning from the why questions. It gets irritating when they know the answer and they ask why over and over again.

I appreciated my kids when they used to ask me with all these "why" questions. I was really happy to see their eagerness to know the answers. But that was before, now, it really annoys and irritates me a lot. You know what I did to stop them from asking why? I gave them reward every time they would know the answers to their questions. |
