Intellectual development means development of the brain to the world of learning. At the age of two the child will says words, phrases and simple sentences. These little sentences of theirs will really make you feel happy so what you need to do is to encourage the child more. He/she will understand simple directions. He or she will relate to right or left and up or down and will remember the places that they visit. The child will now identify simple pictures, likes to look at books, short attention span, avoids simple hazards, can do simple form board.

I remember experimenting with words at that age. It is through this method that the child learns to communicate to others what he or she wants.
