If you have a babysitter or are in the process of getting one ask them if they would be willing to charge less when the children are sleeping then when the children are awake. I did this deal and it seems to be great, you might pay a certain amount to have the kids put to bed, but afterwards may be able to pay $2 an hour less as the sitter is really doing nothing but literally sitting around. Talk to them about maybe taking the time to do their school work or watch a movie. Explain they would literally be getting paid to do what they were doing at home put just at their house and getting paid for it! Easy money for them really. |

Yes this works, many babysitters don't mind because they aren't really doing anything. My sister tried this with one that said no way,she quickly got a new one but not just for this reason. The one she has now had no problem and said more and more of her employers are doing this as well.

it does make a lot of sense, it is a lot easier for the sitter to just show up and do what they want then to actually have to do things with the children and feed them and put them to bed and such.
