My daughter has been a terror since turning 3. It seems that the total meltdowns have been happening more often and more intensely. Anybody else experiencing this? Any words of advice or encouragement? I am about to lose my mind!

I have a 3 year old daughter, and yes, they are worse than 2's. I always ask my daughter "are you 3 or are you 30?" You'll have to add some kind of discipline- "negative reinforcement" as psychologists would say: ignoring their "bad" behavoir, taking away priviledges, 3 min time out. Along with reinforcing good behavior.

You are on the "double T"s, terrible two's and terrible three's of child rearing. It's when their curiosity peaks and they want to know more about life and their environment. Just keep their environment safe. They will try anything and everything to find out what it is.

I'm with you on that, ms. woogie. We have to ignore the bad habit that your child is showing. Moreover, we have to give praise every time they got a good work. Do you know that it's not good also to say bad words to them especially when they at 3 years old? |
