My daughter had her best game ever last night in softball. She was in a hitting slump for the last couple of games. She was so down on herself. Once she gets that way, it's hard for her to play good.

Last night I told her if she got 2 great hits, I'd take the team out to ice cream. Thought a reward would get her happy and make her try.

Her first at bat- she slugged it to the outfield past the outfielders and got a triple. The second at bat she hit it to right field and got a double. She was beaming from ear to ear.

The whole team came out after and said we want mediums!

I have to admit my mom and I were both in tears after the first hit! What babies we are!
