| Ever since I was a teenager, I just can't seem to fight the urge to rebel. I've never been the type to do bad things, but I like to do what I want when I want to, and I don't want to be told other wise. My dad has always been really controlling and needy, so this may be why I'm still like that, even though I'm no longer living with my mother. When I lived with my mom, she was INSANELY controlling and just a really mean person, so I guess I've just learned not to put up with anything. Not saying it's a good thing..

I guess it is normal. There are two things that happen to kids of overly controlling parents: either they lose the will to fight and become doormats, or they rebell.

| Sooo true. I went between the two, depending on the day pretty much

I was never really like that as a teenager. I was very busy with school, so I barely had any time to even think about rebellion. My parents were very lenient and reasonable. Since I've come to live with my mom again, I do feel a hate for authority, and it makes me want to do some not so smart things even though I don't. Maybe I'm just a late bloomer?

The thing about that is that I'm too afraid of the consequences to do anything stupid. That's the only thing keeping me from indulging myself on stupid actions. My parents are glad that I seemed to skip right over that phase.
