Recently, i've seen one teenager( < 15yrs) is smoking cigarrete, i felt very bad regarding this, and didn't keep quite, i shouted at him though there are public around, i don't think he'll repeat it again, as i have insulted him in front of everybody, he felt guilty of himself. Later, one fine day he came to me and said i felt very bad but it changed my life, now i'm working for my sick mother, pray for her, and Thanked me for scolding him. I request my friends also do the same and change lives.

15 years old and smoking, god thats bad! Well done Kantha for pointing it out to the boy, even though he may have felt insulted, atleast he quit.

| I think that was very brave of you! Good for you ![]() ![]() I think it's so sad when teens do things like that. It's so easy (I know because I'm just coming out of that phase myself) to think about what you want today and not think about what it may cause in the future.I'm so proud to say I've never drank or done drugs in my life!!

I don't think I could do that. Well, the boy was nice. I hope his friends would follow what he did. The street children in our country smoke a lot and I don't think they would listen if someone would tell them to stop. By the way, was the boy working?

It might seem hard to believe but the reality is that no one waits till 20 (or to become an adult) to start smoking..boys start it in thier early teens itself... It is just to show off their maturity, imitate elders, and due to peer pressures teenagers start up smoking.. And become addicted and find it impossible to quit..

More often then not, kids who grow up around things that we consider bad, end up doing them. I have drank before. Once with friends about two years ago. I threw up allot that night. And a few times I have taken shots with my mother, because she was once a drunk, I don't like her drinking alone. One or two shots, every four months, isn't going to kill me or get me addicted. I have been doing this with my mother for about six years. I am almost 18. But I know how to control myself and know that it is legal to drink with my mother (in her house) because it is under her supervision (even though I'm watching her) and is considered a religious thing. (I don't know how...) I have never taken any substances illegally, have never smoked, will never smoke, am not an alcoholic and never wish to have anything injected in me or some how put in my body that makes me feel "good" and could potentially kill me. I would have gone about talking to the kid a little bit differently, but I always find different ways to do things. Good job to you and great to the boy, blessed be! |
