I have a normal skin and also do not face any problems of acne. But a month ago I notice that the skin on my forehead went dry all of a sudden and the skin started peeling off. I tried loads of moisturisers but they were off no use after a few days that area turned white as compared to rest of the skin area. I visited a skin specialist and currently I am on medications he recommended a good moisturerizer which has healed the chapped skin. But the skin difference still remains.i.e the patch looks a bit lighter than the rest of the skin. The Doctor said that the condition could be due to some external factors. But I havent made any changes in my cosmetics nor my skin is sensitive to such changes. I had only done expensive herbal face cleaning at a well known parlor. Can this be the reason for it? And what should I do about the lighter patch to make it like the rest of the skin? |

I was advised some ointment to apply on my neck where I had an allergic reaction to a hair dye I had applied. I won’t say that the resulting blend was perfect but was close enough for me. Wonder why the doctor didn't advise any medication for the skin color difference. What was the doctor’s initial diagnosis & what’s the name of the medication prescribed?
