Default How you treat a slightly burned skin?

Hi everyone,

How you treat a slightly burned skin? Do you apply toothpaste, is it advisable or you just wash it with water then put some cream or ointment?

To treat a burn you really need to run the affected area under some cold water. When the stinging sensation has gone away you could add some aloe vera or any soothing kind of cream like nappy cream or E45 cream.

Do not put toothpaste on burnt skin. It will alleviate the soreness and might be infected. Instead, wash it in cold water and put some honey. Honey will prevent the skin to form blisters.

I would put it under cold water and use some Aloe Vera on it if you have some. If you don't have Aloe Vera, then I would put some sort of ointment, like First Aid Cream or something like that on it.

Use of an ice pack immediately after sunburn; reduce the inflammation. Try applying lavender oil which helps in healing of low intensity sunburns. John worths oil can also used but not easily obtained.

Do you mean sunburn? If so, believe it or not, but putting some buttermilk on it helps! It is a trick my mom taught me when I was a kid. Somehow, buttermilk reduces pain and help the sunburn to heal faster.
