Default Cleansing your skin

It is very important to cleanse the skin so look for a good cleanser that suits your skin and use it regularly. We would advice you to use soap on the face. They make your skin dull. They eat up or wash out the necessary oils from your skin. Cleansers contain oil which dissolves on the face. Cleansers also contains water that washes the dirt and makeup away from your face and skin. Use a cleanser based on your skin type. Because if you use an oil based cleanser on oily skin then it would clog the pores and if you use a dry one on the dry skin it will dry out the pores. So be careful while choosing a cleanser.

I used clean n clear facial wash before. It really helped to remove my pimples. BUt then, what I noticed is that it seems to be a bit harsh my skin. My skin becomes a bit reddish, and it doesn't match my neck skin tone. No pimples but reddish skin

When I used Clean and Clear my face was always really dry, and it didn't seem strong enough to get rid of my pimples. It just wanted to get rid of my face, apparently That's when I changed to Proactiv and it works great. I don't get pimples like I used to though, so I barely even use it. Probably apply a few times a month.. so my bottles last me forever. Works for me though, because it could get pretty pricey

I've tried ordinary soaps, moisturizing soaps, mild cleansers, cleansers with enzymes, organic cleansers, etc... nothing seems to work on me. It'll work for a few weeks and then my skin will get immuned to it.

My mother always told me that soap is bad for your skin, because it drys it out. I barely ever use soap on it, and my skin is a lot better than it used to be. Not sure if it's just a coincidence. All I ever do to wash my face is use warm water to rinse it and then apply Proactiv

I have noticed that good products that actually help tend to be too strong, with possible side effects of drying the skin too much or even making it red, as another poster has mentioned. It can be quite an ordeal to find something that works for you and does no damage. Sometimes it is a combination of two or more products.
