now a days when there a lot of green house gases affecting our earth's ozone layer, we have to be very careful that our skin is not directly exposed to the ultra violet rays which can cause various diseases like burns and even skin cancer. so i order to protect that, just apply some good sunscreen lotion every time you go out and it should not be less than 15 SPF.

The sunscreen should also be reapplied every two to three hours.

The best way to protect the skin is to stay indoors. Barring that you should wear a sunscreen, but you also need a hat. Perspiration makes sunscreen less affective over time. |

Whenever I buy facial lotion or moisturizer, I check whether it also offers protection from sun. More and more of them do, it seems to be something the manufacturers are taking care of.

Having a nice handu umbrella would do wonders as well guys! I cant live without one... Have a handy-3folds umbrella which you can just put in your bag and bring wherever you would go. Theyd come in handy during sudden rains too!

Its quite obvious that exposure to the sun will cause damage to your skin, and all what everyone has mentioned above is correct, and everything is important sun screen, shades, hats and umbrellas, and also to add something always try staying in the shade as much as possible and reapply sun screen after 2 -3 hours.

I garden and am outside a lot during sunny weather, but I always use sunscreen, hats and try to stay in shady areas. I also try to avoid being out during the time of day when the sun is the strongest, which around here is about four in the afternoon. My granddaughter loves to swim in our pool, which I actually have set up in a partially shady area and I'm always reapplying sunscreen for her. I knew a lady when I was younger and I always thought she had such a terrific tan and such....sort of admired her for it. Then we lost touch and I saw her a few years later...although we were close to the same age, she looked soooo much older with so many wrinkles caused by her sun exposure. Her skin looked like leather! That was enough to really teach me to get my tan out of a bottle!!

To my knowlledge, appilications of some creams do not go alrght with the skin and it is better to apply sun screen lotion while going out in the sun.as well as full sleeve garments protecting the skin from the sun. |

I guess that depends on skin types. I was told that people with white complexion has low melanin so they need to protect their skin more coz they'll suffer from skin cancer.

I'm using Neutrogena dry touch with spf55, it's very nice. It doesn't make my face oily or greasy so I don't mind using it whenever I go out. I think sunblock is very important in taking care of our skin. You might not see the effect now, but when you're older, you'll be glad you took care of your skin. |

For most persons the sun rays will be allergy as their skin will be black when exposed to sunlight. Use sunscreen lotion to protect your skin. Wear hand gloves while going out.
