I went to an outdoor water park on Saturday and by mid day I had a bad sunburn! I applied sunscreen every 2 hours too. SPF 70 spray on. I won't be using the spray on again. Needless to say- I'm very uncomfortable... usually I use vinegar and it dulls the sting from the burn. It's not touching it this time. Could be karma- I was chuckling at the adults that were burning- thinking you put sunblock on your kids, you need to use it too. What can I use to take away the sting? Anything to make it go away quicker? |

Aloe of course is a traditional balm, and for good reason, it dulls the pain a bit and speeds healing by returning moisture to the damaged skin. Some aloe sprays have additonal pain relieving elements in them, you may want to buy one if you haven't already.

I bought an aloe gel. I applied it as soon as I bought it yesterday and again last night before bed. I woke up this morning and I felt 80% better. Only my shoulders still hurt. The rest of my skin is turning into a tan and the sting is going away. I'm keeping this aloe with me when I go to Georgia in a little over a week. Thanks for the tip! |

If you are going out at noon time it is like you are taking hot bath. Oh... Summer is very very hot. I always use sunscreen lotion to protect my skin.
