I have been single for a quite long time and I am still comfortable with it. Do you ever feel disturbed when you are single? Do the people around you offer help and try to get you dating with someone?

I've never felt intimidated or any other negative emotion while I was single. Some of my friends had tried to fix me up with people, but I simply told them that I was comfortable with the situation and did not necessarily need someone at the time. I don't understand why people seem to think that you are missing something just because you choose to be single...

I think if you are single you should feel happy since you enjoy enormous freedom to do whatever you want!!

I did not have any problem with being single, either. I was not one of those women who thinks they've got to have a man, no matter what kind or how bad - for the sake of "status," so to speak. Yes, people pestered me about not getting married, but I told them I was going to marry the right man or stay single if I don't meet him. I did meet him when the time came.

It's even worse in high school because people will tease you either because you don't have a boyfriend or because you've never had one before. All the people that I knew who had a boyfriend would completely lose sight of who they were outside of the relationship. I knew that I didn't want to be like that.

The only thing I ever hated about being single were those friends who were convinced you needed setting up with someone. I had one friend in particular who seemed to think it impossible that I could ever have been happy on my own. |

Being single is not as much intimidating as it is annoying in relation to other people. I've heard people that I do not know at all recommend that I get a boyfriend. I hate it when a complete stranger will ask me out.

Nah I think being single is fun. It's not because you're not attractive or so it's like having to do what you want without any problems with a partner.

I think that people that are in a relationship are sometimes uncomfortable with single people. There is this feeling that the single person will make a move on their spouse or significant other.
