From my personal experience I found good guys in a bar in downtown. Whenever I go to dance clubs I only get to meet those drunk boring jerks.

When you want to meet good guys, where do you usually go?

I would say, going to bars isn't a good place. (Well, unless you're looking for the drunk/party type) It really depends on what kinda guy you're looking for. I've always heard places like libraries, parks, swimming pools or gyms are better places. All those places show more motivation on their end... they're not just sitting around getting drunk.

It's not a very good idea to look for a quality man or anyone of marrying qualities in a place like a bar. Most of the men who go there mostly want to party or have a good time.

I attended a party and I met my partner there through a friend. I don't think you would find some good guys in bars and other places but it could be possible. Befriend everybody even your neighbors. How about in some community based organizations? You might find some good guys there.

You have a good choice, Bethoven. Community based organizations could be a way to meet other people and prospective partner. But that is not always the case. Why do we have to go somewhere else? You would meet some of them in your village, workplace and even in school.

I agree with Bethoven. I think it's possible. If you're not looking for the typical type of guy who would be there though, then I would look elsewhere. I guess I've just heard too many bad stories from friends who met guys in that way

What about at company pic nics? Your perfect partner could in fact be your next door neighbor or someone in your apartment complex. I think people complicate the idea of meeting someone. Maybe if you stopped looking, or then maybe they would come to you.

Are you still studying or working? I have met some good guys in the bar but if you are looking for someone you want to have a relationship with, I think that is not the place you're looking for. I agree with Bethoven. If you are in a community based organization, you would most likely meet some good people there.

I used to meet guys at friends' parties or at the library. I am more intellectual; thus, I was never really interested in some drunk who had nothing interesting to say. I don't know what type of guys you like but the best ones hang out at several ''less conventional'' places such as libraries, bookstores or even on more serious dating websites.
