Im still single, and have some time before Im ready to tie the knot.....Im a working girl and earn fair enough money, which I actually spend on myself and indulge in things. My parents however think this is wrong and tell me to save my money and it can be used after marriage. But my theory is that spend what you have and do what you want before marriage, as you never know what your partner is going to be like and whether he will allow you to splurge your money. This doesnt really apply in the western world to non asians, but in reality after marriage some men like taking control over their wife and not always allow her to spend the money how she may want or let her do all things which she may have done before marriage. I dont think im doing anything wrong, just spending my own money, ok I dont have major saving, but then whats the point of saving if i wont be able to waste it away after marriage!!!!! |

I understand your thinking about not knowing whether your future partner will let you spend your money after marriage or not. I dont think its wrong you spend your money on yourself, but I would reccommend you keep some aside, aswell as spending. Its also important to know that although many men like taking control over their wives spedning (especially indian men) there are alot who dont do this, so dont always keep a negative thinking about what husbands let you do and dont do. |
