I am the mother of the groom. They aren't having a typical fancy wedding, the bride is pregnant so wearing a sundress. The groom is wearing black pants and a nice shirt.

Any suggestions on what I should be looking for? I think that a typical mother of the groom dress will be too fancy. Do you think a nice sundress will do?

It is a very simple wedding. The bride is wearing a sundress. The groom and best men are wearing black pants and white shirts. There are only 20 people invited to the actual ceremony, but there are about 100 invited to the reception.

Nothing fancy for the reception. All homemade food, no dj, just music from an ipod.

yes i think so a nice flowy sundress should do....since the bride herself is wearing a sundress.

Do you think I should look for a certain color, or stay away from certain colors.

The wedding colors are yellow and white.

Did the wedding already happen? Maybe you could find a dress that has both yellow and white.. like, maybe mostly yellow and then some white around the top or bottom or something. I've never had to pick out a dress for such a major event.. I know it's probably tough!
