Default Deal Breakers

If you were with someone, what could they do that you wouldn't be able to tolerate? I personally can't stand being with someone who is sexist, racist or homophobic. My ex boyfriend was all of these to some degree and I really thought he was just joking around, but when I found out that he was being serious, I realize I just couldn't put up with it.

I like people who are open and caring.

I wouldn't be able to live with a lazy bum who does nothing with his life. I am a type of person who ceases the day and does not let any moment to be idle. I don't expect everyone to be like me but I couldn't be with a guy who just spent his days doing nothing either.

That's a really good point. I couldn't put up with that either. I think it's one thing if someone is jobless, but they're trying to find a job, but if they don't care too and have no reasoning behind it, then it would be a different story.

Sounds like your exboyfriend was quite the looser. I can't stand lazy people either. I have to be with someone who has ambition. I also can't tolerate anyone who is prejudice. There is much more to a person than the color of their skin.

That is so true. Regardless of what color, gender or religion we are, all of us, we are all the same. It's too bad that there is still so few people who realize that...

If I was with someone domestic violence would be a breaking point for me. It would be difficult to believe that someone cared for me while they were beating me. Whether it was emotional abuse or physical abuse, I think I would have to leave.

Good point! But there are many women that stay in that type of relationships for various reasons. It's sad that one can not find the courage to walk away even when they are being physically or mentally abused.
