This may sound superstitious, but I was told that the birthmark on my arm is the result of my mom doing something (scratching, I think) to her arm when she was pregnant with me. Is that a legitimate way that a birthmark could have formed?

A birthmark is a blemish on the skin. That was a really good question.. I really had no clue how they were formed lol.
