I think a child growing up with too much responsibility is terrible. Kids need time to be kids. I was always forced to babysit and take care of things around the house because my mom was always either with a guy, drunk or leaving me home alone. I was scared for my life half the time. I'm so glad that part of my life is over!!

Yes, children need to have a childhood. They need to be in a secure place called home, where there are some chores to do, yes, but there is also plenty of time to play and enjoy being a kid.

If I ever have kids, I want to make sure I treat them better than I was treated. I am really thankful for everything I have been through because it has taught me how to not treat someone and I think it made me a very hard worker and very motivated. I sometimes hate my mom, but I gotta look at the bright side and thank her for all the pain.
