Did anyone have a sweet 16 party? My boys were invited to a schoolmates sweet 16 party. The parents rented a hall, booked a band and had it catored!! I think it was a little over the top for our small town.

My son just turned 16 yesterday. We had a regular family party and it was just fine.

My girls are not quite there yet, but if they wanted to have a sweet 16 party, I would be very interested in throwing them one. Although I think it would be a little simpler than what you mentioned in your posting.

I had a Sweet 16. I think it is more for girls than boys. We didn't do anything super spectacular. It was at my grandparent's house which is quite a large house. We had played pool on their pool table, had a couple cans of silly string, and cake/icecream. It was fine for me. I was just excited because it was my first birthday party that I invited boys to!

I didn't have a party, but I did have two of my best friends over. My mom picked me up from school and surprised me with a bunch of balloons, pretty flowers and the best cake I've ever had in my LIFE! It was a pretty good day.. until my mom ditched me and made me babysit for the entire weekend. Lame!
