Default Learning Styles

When you were in school, what learning style was best for you? Were you a visual learner, or did you learn better just by hearing the information being presented to you?

For me, the best way to learn was to copy all my notes over and over again. I am a visual person and when I write down things, they actually stick and I never forget them. During the exams, I actually visualize the page where I have read about the answer to the question and simply write it down.

I am also a visual learner. In school, I would draw pictures and diagrams to help me remember the subject matter. Even today when I am explaining something I will draw a picture.

Writing things out is how I learn, or by using flash cards. This may be why it's much easier for me to express myself through my writing (ie on here) than face to face. However, I talk nothing like I type. It's pretty funny lol

I used to write down the answers especially the derivations, that way I never forgot them. Also I was able to judge whether I could finish writing an answer within the prescribed time !!

Mine is both, before my very active age I used to have a photographic memory. I remember things the exact way it is written thus I have to memorize it in order so that my memory will not be scrambled. Also when the topic is very interesting and easy no need for me to write it down its enough that I hear them from the teacher then during exams answers will just pop into my head.

I think my learning style is a little of both as well. I do like learning by hearing the explanation, but for something more complicated, I need to see it written down.
