Are you a stay at home mother? My mom was, and to this day she believes that she could give us a better childhood because she didn't work. If you're a working mother and had the chance to stay home with your children, would you do it?

I work from home, and when our daughter is born, I will be a stay at home mother - still contintuing to work, I hope. There is no way I can be just a mom and a housewife, I will go nuts.

If I ever do decide to have children (I think I'll probably end up adopting one day), I would love to stay home with them if it were possible. I never want my children to ever be alone like I was as a child. I want to make sure they know I am there for them, support them in everything they do, and teach them all the things I wish I knew earlier on. I want to make up for what my mom didn't do

Well for the meantime that I am not a mom yet I'm working at home. At least earning while sitting at home all day long. It's better than nothing although I would still prefer working mom than a housewife.

I quit my job when I had my second child and started working from home. I think it is wonderful to be able to stay home with my children and also bring in some money to help with our household expenses.

I think children can still get enough attention and love from mom even when she works outside of home. In the olden days mothers use to stay home because women were not completely integrated into the work force. Things have changed since then and life conditions are more difficult as well. I think both choices are equally acceptable depending on what kind of lifestyle you have.

When I have children of my own, I don't think I want to just label myself a "housewife" or just a "stay at home mother," either. I want to continue to work from my home, so I think I'd call myself a work at home mother when the time comes.
