Default Salads

Do you like salads? What are your favorites? I like to make crab salad, and also I often mix all kinds of fresh veggies - like lettuce, tomato, cucumber, green onion, and bell peppers - and dress them with vegetable oil.

I love salads with lots of Ranch Dressing, Bacon,Tomato, Avacado and onions. I like to add different veggies to salads to make them unique. Like Tuna salad I like to add chopped dill pickles with chopped onion and either cubed or sliced cheese. I also love adding olives and mushrooms to vegetable salads and Egg Salad.

My favorite is spinach salad with grilled chicken. I also love ranch dressing, but it has to be a dressing that I buy from a local restaurant. They make the best ranch dressing!

In the summer, I also like fruit salads.

I like adding those bacon crumbs into my salads, too. It is something relatively new for me, I had not tried it before, but then we had this lettuce and other veggies salad at Pizza Hut, with some bacon crumbs added, and I loved it. It adds this slightly "smoky" taste.

I had a basic tuna salad for dinner tonight with some lettuce, apple, red onion, cucumber, tomatoes and sweetcorn.

I also like a good potato salad too.

Yes, I like potato salad as well, we've just made some to go with our grilled steak, and it is almost all gone. For potato salad, I use boiled potatoes, eggs, mayo, and mustard. I do not add celery, it ruins the taste for me.

I love salads... especially in the warmer weather. I love pasta salad (pepperoni, peppers, cheese, onions, olives). I also love tossed salad with as many fresh veggies from the garden as possible. I prefer French dressing.

I also love fruit salad, macaroni salad, and my moms potatoe salad!

I'm starving now!

Im not too keen on salads, and cant really eat them on their own, but when complimented with something they are easier to have, such as with pasta, baked food etc.

Im not too fussed on what salad i have, as long as its fresh.

Im quite fond of salads, and find them good to eat either on their own or with something.
When having just salad on its own i do prefer having something like cheese, chicken or bacon in it, but if its given with a meal or a snack then it can just be plain salad with or without dressing.
I like to include all kinds of veg in my salads, depending on what I'm having it with
Some of the vegetables which I make salads from include cucumber, lettuce, tomatoes, bell peppers, sweetcorn, onions, radish, rocket, broccoli, carrots and others.

We are having a baby shower and decided to serve all salads. We are having spinach salad with chicken, mandarine oranges, apples and nuts in it.
We are also haveing pasta salad, fruit salad and ambrosia, along with butter bits. Can't wait!

A relative of ours had once served this delisions cheese salad. Unfortunately, I don't know what kind of cheese she used and what kind of mayo, and it seems to be important since I have tried to recreate it and it didn't work that well. But there was shredded cheese, mayo, and garlic in it.

I love eating salads like chicken macaroni salad, garden fresh salad, and red egg with eggplant salad. The latter mentioned is used as a side dish to a rice meal, the eggpant is delicious when it is grilled, chopped then mixed with red egg, onions and tomato slices.

I love all kinds of salads. I can live on salads, but it will have to be a different one for every meal. LOL

Does anyone have a good recipe for macaroni salad? Hubby keeps buying it from Walmart, well, I bet I can make some that would taste far better than that! So what do you put in there?

My all time favorite salad is the Greek Salad - I love the combination of feta cheese, tomatoes, black olives, onions and olive oil. I also like making tuna salad and egg salad - these two can be used in making sandwiches for lunch or picnic and quite easy to prepare.

Hi, I love salads. Just about any veggie can make a salad. I don't always use lettuce, it can get boring. I use a lot of dried cranberries with chicken or turkey, along with seeded cucumber, tiny pieces of broccoli, and toasted peanuts or homemade croutons. I love raisins in my cold slaw with lots of grated carrot, grated onion and a few cloves of garlic, minced, and it has to have caraway seeds. I like honey mustard dressing, I whisk 2 tablespoons of a grainy mustard with 1 tablespoon of liquid honey some salt and pepper and voila, instant dressing. Enjoy!
