I made this post roast for DH's grandmother and she won't stop talking about it. I stole the ingredients from Alton Brown, but I just throw it all in the crock pot instead of his cooking directions. Chuck Roast 1 jar of olives, drained 1 cup tomato juice 1/3 cup balsalmic vinegar Salt Pepper Cumin 1/2 cup raisens 1 onion, chopped 4-5 cloves of garlic, crushed I use enough salt, pepper, and cumin to coat the meat. Then I just throw it all in the crock pot and when I come home from work, dinner is ready |

Interesting, I've never had a pot roast with olives. I love them, so it's got to be good! How many hours do you cook it for? We have a crock pot, but I always wonder how long is enough. |

It does sound different, but it also sounds good. I would imagine you would need to cook it on a low heat for maybe 3 - 4 hours. I could be wrong. |
