Default Exotic foods

Some people says that exotic foods have a lot of nutrition other than what we commonly eat. And some says most of the exotic foods are medicinal. Do you agree with this?

what kind of exotic foods are we talking about?

this is an international forum and what is exotic to you
might be daily diet for another member here ;-)

I have once tried a roasted baby octopus on a stick! Can anyone beat that?

Oysters are somewhat exotic to me... I have tried them, but I can't get used to them.

Your posting is very vague and as someone else has already mentioned, what you consider exotic could be a regular meal for someone else. What kind of foods are you referring to? Exotic doesn't necessarily equal to more nutritious, regardless of what the food is.

I have deep fried baby octopus regularly. I have tried tentacles of cuttlefish a number of times. They taste good but are far to chewy.

One thing I would love to try is some real fresh sushi. We don't have anything like that where I live. It would be a real treat.

Yes, I found that little octopus to be somewhat chewy as well. Tentacles sound like fun! I would imagine being in some sci-fi movie, LOL!

I like sushi but tend to stay away from the ones with raw fish.

Has anyone had caviar?

I had beef tartar on a visit to Colombia. It is raw beef with some sauce.

Exotic is much like an adjective to food to be sold at a higher price. Huh “Capitalists”. For a person living in India, Chinese snake dishes & Mexico's tofu are exotic dishes & vice versa.

I believe that the seasonal fruits and vegetables contain the maximum amount of nutrients. Any food that is altered genetically or otherwise loses its nourishment.
