Smile Proteins

Essential Proteins
Proteins are vital for the body as they build and restore tissues. Other functions of proteins include maintaining proper hormonal balance & normal body processes. Pulses, eggs, nuts, meat, cheese, chicken, etc., are rich sources of protein.

A great source of protein can be found in vegetarian false meat products such as Quorn. I was a veggie for some time and discovered that these products were made of mushroom/other vegetable soya which were very high in protein and good for weight loss.

I know for a fact, I don't eat enough meat and don't get enough protein in my diet. I hope this is something I can work on. I'm sure I would have more energy

I follow lots of religious fasting hence I'm a vegetarian for most of the year hence I have a glass of protein shake regularly. I also substitute 20% of wheat for soya while making dough for chapattis, roti or even loaf for that matter.

For the vegetarians, lentils are a very good source of protein.
